So, today I start 2 new skills – blogging, and contact juggling. I’m already a semi-pro close-up magician, (http://www.magicinyourhands.co.uk/ if you are at all interested), however I wanted to learn another skill.
Contact juggling, (and this is my unofficial definition…) seems to be “…manipulating, and being completely in control of, one or more spherical objects that gravity has a better understanding of than you do…“.
Well – today my 75mm crystal (polycarbon) sphere arrived, and a DVD (Contact Juggling Part 1 – Maldonado and Edson).
I have no idea how this is all going to pan out ! My plan at the moment is to try and spend one week (year?) on each move before moving on, and then after about 2 months try and construct a simple multi-move routine.
I suspect this plan will all fall apart rapidly, however, let’s see. Onwards and upwards, (or in the ball’s case, probably downwards).
